Selectors had their hands full with the decision on who to pick for the Round 3 against supposedly the best team so far in the B grade comp. Concord RSL having won their both games and are on the top of the charts. But this was not going to intimidate Gypsies in any shape or form, as they decided to make use of the super sub rule and entered the game with a 13 player team. Gypsies lost the toss and RSL decided to bat. Captain had high hopes from his opening bowlers given Round 2 performance. B1 certainly didn’t disappoint claiming the 1st wicket in the 5th over of the game( ending with figures of 1/17 in 5overs). V followed and claimed his 1st wicket in the following over, but was lacking class and was put out of action after his 4th over. At this point RSL were looking in a bit of a trouble, but their opener “SIRR: where do you end” was smashing the bowlers all over the park. When rookies and 1st bowling change (Roman) failed to produce a satisfactory result, captain decided to put T. Master’s decades of cricketing experience to use, and on just 2nd bowl of his over managed to lure the opener into smashing the ball for six, only to be caught at boundary by Harry and landing himself in the avoidance territory(out for 48). It took Tony a while to suss his next victim out, who was stumped by Kitty(New name: The lightening) in 25th over. Unfortunately, rest of the game was washed out by rain.
The match was abandoned at the final score of 4/137 in 26overs.
