SEASON 20-21: RE-DEFINING THE AVERAGE

One third of the way through the season and it's BAU for the Gypsies, sitting mid-table. Pretty much all our KPIs are average...not alot of runs, plenty of drops, high player rotation and not enough wins.

Skipper Jim Shanahan faced the press after the Nomads loss, refusing to concede he was under pressure for his job from a raft of has-been Skippers in the latest line-up.

"I mean, you can say I should have done this, or that in the field, bowled Roshan more, but it's hard to get a word in edge-ways with Junior out there directing traffic. I mean, how many mid-ons can you have?"

Rumours abound that a charge of Megalomania was levelled in the fines session, and that rather than face the charge, Junior "stormed out" citing "family reasons" and incurring a charge of pub avoidance.

Leading run-scorer Bobo also came in for criticism over his beer choice (Peroni). He defended his decision, saying "I thought V was bringing them until he pulled out. I only had 5 minutes to grab a case and in the Eastern Suburbs, it's pretty much Fosters or this...we can't expect Kingfisher every week!"
